Steps to Apply for Learning Licence

Step 1: Online Application

Visit the official website of your state's Regional Transport Office (RTO) and fill out the online application form for a learning licence. Make sure to enter your personal details and upload the necessary documents.
 

Step 2: Book an Appointment

After submitting the online application, Book an appointment at your nearest RTO. Choose a convenient date and time and make sure to take a printout of the appointment confirmation.

 

Step 3: Payment of Fees

Pay the required fee for the learning licence online or at the RTO office. Costs vary by state and type of vehicle.
 

Step 4: Biometric Data and Photograph

At the RTO, you will need to provide your biometric data and have your photograph taken. This includes your fingerprints and signature.
 

Step 5: Learning Licence Test

After completing the biometric process, you will need to take a computer-based test on road rules, signs, and regulations. The test is objective and multiple-choice, with a passing score of 60%. Once you pass the test, you will receive your learning licence.


Step 6: Receive your Learning Licence
